Improving Social Services in Libya

Together with other oil companies, since 2017, OMV has supported improving social services for local communities in Libya. Other project partners are NOC (National Oil Corporation) & OMV in Sirte Region. NOC, Repsol, Equinor, Total and OMV in Murzuq Region. In the Murzuq Region, the program aims to help the local municipalities improve their service delivery to the local population. The focus is on health, education, water, and sanitation, and OMV's contribution will be EUR 4.6 mn. Another project from OMV is in the Sirte region, east of Libya. In 2018 the community resilience program contributed to improved social services and addressing the local population's immediate needs in the environment, education, agriculture, and emergency relief.
